Desde que\u00a0Camila Apablaza Alavania<\/strong>\u00a0era estudiante de ingenier\u00eda en la UdeC ten\u00eda ganas de ampliar su mirada a trav\u00e9s de la experiencia internacional. Hoy, la Ingeniera Civil Industrial y mag\u00edster en Gesti\u00f3n Industrial est\u00e1 viviendo ese sue\u00f1o como Asistente de Investigaci\u00f3n \u2013 en su calidad de estudiante de Doctorado \u2013 en el\u00a0Georgia Institute of Technology,<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>en los Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n

Este anhelo de viajar tambi\u00e9n ten\u00eda relaci\u00f3n con el poder contribuir al desarrollo econ\u00f3mico del pa\u00eds, ampliando su mirada de la sociedad en la que vivimos. Es por esta raz\u00f3n que est\u00e1 trabajando en el \u00e1rea de pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas con especializaci\u00f3n en energ\u00eda y medioambiente.<\/p>\n

\u201cLo m\u00e1s complejo de emprender un desaf\u00edo acad\u00e9mico o laboral en el extranjero es confiar en que la formaci\u00f3n recibida en Chile y mis capacidades son m\u00e1s que suficientes para cumplir con mis objetivos. Antes de venir a Estados Unidos, no tuve acceso a conocer a muchas personas con un perfil similar al m\u00edo que me contaran sus experiencias exitosas en el extranjero. Creo que tener una red de ingenieros UdeC en el extranjero puede ser extremadamente beneficioso para los estudiantes actuales de la facultad\u201d,<\/strong>\u00a0analiza Camila.<\/p>\n

\u00bfCu\u00e1les han sido las ventajas que has podido vivenciar en tu situaci\u00f3n actual, lo m\u00e1s enriquecedor?<\/p>\n

\u201cEstoy convencida que los ingenieros UdeC estamos incre\u00edblemente preparados para enfrentar estudios y trabajo en el extranjero, no solamente en ingenier\u00eda, sino que en cualquier campo que creamos nos ayude a alcanzar nuestros objetivos. Creo que la formaci\u00f3n que me entreg\u00f3 del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Industrial (DII) me permite contar con mucha ventaja a la hora de enfrentar desaf\u00edos acad\u00e9micos y profesionales en Estados Unidos\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

En l\u00ednea con lo anterior, la joven ingeniera UdeC comenta que la ingenier\u00eda en Chile se encuentra a muy buen nivel en comparaci\u00f3n con otros pa\u00edses. \u201cComo ingeniera del DII UdeC, puedo decir que jam\u00e1s en los 5 a\u00f1os que he pasado estudiando en una Universidad de primer nivel en Estados Unidos, me he sentido en desventaja frente a personas con formaciones en ingenier\u00eda de otras partes del mundo\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Por lo mismo, como ella misma se\u00f1ala, le hubiese gustado confiar m\u00e1s en la preparaci\u00f3n de los ingenieros UdeC y en sus propias capacidades para emprender cualquier desaf\u00edo en el extranjero.\u00a0\u201cCreo que entregar informaci\u00f3n sobre movilidad internacional y compartir experiencias es fundamental para evitar las dudas que tengan los estudiantes de la facultad que quieran emprender desaf\u00edos en el extranjero. Me encantar\u00eda haber tenido m\u00e1s contacto con ingenieros UdeC que est\u00e9n estudiando en el extranjero. Es por esto que invito a otros estudiantes a contactarme si as\u00ed lo desean a\u00a0capablaza@gatech.edu<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0Yo feliz de ayudarlos en lo que pueda\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
